Features

CHAMBERED BODY WITH ACOUSTIC DESIGN

Revstar Standard guitars feature chambered bodies designed to sculpt tone and reduce weight, with carbon reinforcement in the neck to improve vibration transfer.

5-WAY SWITCHING

With the same 5-way switching as Revstar Professional, the subtle phase shift on positions 2 and 4 offers a fresh take on classic “in-between” sounds.

FOCUS SWITCH

The push/pull Tone control activates a passive boost with an effect similar to overwound pickups—darker highs, increased mids and lows, and an aggressive character.

CHOICE OF PICKUPS

RSS20 and RSS20L feature humbuckers, and RSS02T offers P90-style single-coils. All pickups are custom designed by Yamaha and use Alnico V magnets for powerful tone.

SWITCH ON          

The Focus Switch boost on Professional and Standard models, and the Dry Switch filter on Revstar Element, provide even greater versatility.

The roar of rock

Unmistakably vintage. One of the pickups that paved the way for modern electric guitars, these VP5s adopt a P90 style construction. This fatter single coil gives you a tone that approaches a humbucker yet retains the delicious cut and twang of singles. Excellent for the distinct flow of classic rock 'n' roll or clucky blues solos, these potent pickups combine perfectly with the Revstar's vintage aesthetic.

Take to the stage, the Revstar presents you with multiple controls to shape your sound on the fly. Master volume and tone dials let you roll in the sound to your exact taste, while a passive push / pull focus switch injects a new dynamic to your tone. Unleash your audio.

Refined rosewood

Just like the other aspects of this guitar, its fretboard is sophisticated in appearance and performance. Rosewood provides a superior playing surface, soft and smooth, it'll feel like your hand is gliding rather than playing. It makes complex riffs and tricky lead lines flow with ease, great news for those of you who want to stand out! Shaped in a 12" radius you'll enjoy a comfortable grip and effortless time chording nearer the nut. As for adventurous string bends and high pitch solos, the jumbo stainless-steel frets enable soaring bends without fretting out.

Underneath the sumptuous fretboard is a three-piece mahogany neck that's shaped for speed. Boasting a satin finish, you'll be firing around the registers due to its frictionless feel. But this is built to perform, so you'll be glad to know that its three-piece construction is going to withstand countless gigs and is extremely resistant to warping or bending. Set with carbon reinforcement, there's nothing that's going to stop you playing.

High performance inclusions

Inspired by the voluptuous curves of Yamaha's mean racing motorbikes, the Revstar Standard's body showcases the same precision engineering. Formed using Yamaha's Acoustic Design process, the chambered body provides you enhanced tone response and a flourishing resonance. In addition, it reduces the weight for a nimble, agile feel that will have you bouncing around the stage.

Appointed on the alluring body is a specially designed racer tailpiece, joined to a tune-O-matic bridge. Solid tuning stability and accurate intonation in addition to a thrilling café-racer style will be yours to command.
