The Waterman/Harewood Piano Series was devised jointly by the world famous piano teacher Fanny Watermann and the co-founder of the Leeds International Piano Competition, Marion Harewood, and is established as one of the foremost piano teaching methods. The 28 pieces in this recital collection span a period of about two hundred years, and have been chosen to present a range of different styles and forms from most of the major composers of the piano repertoire. The authors have specified, where appropriate, the collection, sonata or suite from which a piece is taken. Included are pieces by Bach, Scarlatti, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Field, Chopin, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Debussy and de Severac.
