The raves keep coming for the mighty GS Mini as it continues to redefine what a small-bodied guitar can be. A big sound, a real Taylor playing experience, and a do-it-yourself add-on pickup option already make it hard to resist, but we thought we’d up the ante with some beautiful wood veneer options, too. Choose from gorgeous maple, blackwood and rosewood laminate for the Mini’s backs and sides, all with a solid spruce top.

TOP WOOD: Sitka Spruce
The most commonly used wood for guitar tops, Sitka generates a broad dynamic range and accommodates numerous playing styles, from aggressive strumming to fingerpicking.

BODY WOOD: Layered Rosewood
Taylor’s layered backs and sides incorporate three layers of wood, featuring a middle core of poplar with a veneer on each side. While layered woods won’t produce quite as complex a sound as solid woods, they allow us to blend exotic looks with climate-resilient construction.
