Fine, handcrafted cello bow made from Brazilwood (Pernambuco), with round, half-mounted ebony frog with pearl slide, pearl eye and one-piece button. Handmade in the Czech Republic.
Atelier Saldo was founded in 1992 by Otakar Odlas to produce world-class instruments and specialising in bows created from Brazilwood (also known as Pernambuco wood). The company tradition of fine bow-making continues with Otakar's son Luboš, who studied with the master bow-makers Rudolf, Neudörfer and the internationally acclaimed Sasan Mitsuaki from Japan. Luboš' bow model is Sartory, but he has created his own unique design too. Luboš' bows are used by top musicians, soloists, orchestral players and in music academies across the world. Instrumentalists include the violin virtuoso Master Václav Hude?ek, some of the Wihan Quartet, and also a number of international competition winners.
Atelier Saldo is a leader in bow-making internationally thanks to the quality and affordability of their bows.
