    Le tombeau de Couperin  is a great piano suite by the French composer Maurice Ravel. He began the work before World War I, completed it in 1918, and in honour of the fallen soldiers, called it Le Tombeau de Couperin  ('Couperin's Tomb') after François Couperin, a 17th-century composer whom Ravel chose to represent the French nation.
