“I’ve played on a multitude of stages and in just as many studios. A constant thorn in my side has been the sorry state of the equipment on offer, especially at live events – the organisers have been inclined to set me up with an all-purpose mic and I just grin and bear it!

Studio work, apart from at some of the legendary venues, means handling one or two ‘limited choice’ mics that have been picked out first and foremost for their cost. It’s so good to be able to bring your own instrument and mics to home studios, the stage or anywhere else for that matter.

Then the only thing left to worry about is the quality of the mix, because the sound is always top notch during miking. Finally there are high-performance, affordable mics.

PRODIPE have really made an effort to design their mics for musicians like myself who only want the best, but who don’t want to spend a fortune getting it. The old days of ‘it’s not possible to have decent equipment at a decent price’ are long gone. A huge sigh of relief.
