Now you can get the dynamic versatility and space-saving footprint of the Cry Baby Mini 535Q Wah with the ultimate mod for convenient live performances—auto-return switching.

With just four controls, you can radically alter your instrument's voice with quick and easy adjustments to match the sound and vibe of the rest of your setup. First, the Range Selector allows you to choose from our four most popular sweep ranges, from warm and vintage-inspired to modern and aggressive. Next, the Q control allows you to shape the response of the wah effect from a narrow bandpass that emphasizes higher end harmonics to a wide bandpass that emphasizes lower end harmonics. Finally, the Volume knob and Boost switch allow you to bump your Cry Baby signal straight to the front of the mix when it's time for that bangin' solo. A convenient LED lets you know whether or not the boost is engaged.

With auto-return switching, adding some of that magical Cry Baby expression wherever you need it is just a matter of pushing down on the toe of the pedal to engage the effect and backing off to disengage it. Just step in, electrify your audience, and step out while you give them some time to collect themselves.

Like the CBM535Q, this pedal comes in at half the size of a standard Cry Baby Wah, and on the inside, it sports the legendary red Fasel® Inductor. If you want to save space while retaining ultimate control over your Cry Baby Wah sound, this pedal belongs on your pedalboard.

POWER

The Cry Baby® Mini 535Q Wah is powered by one 9-volt battery (remove bottom plate to install), the Dunlop ECB003 9-volt adapter, or the DC Brick™, Iso-Brick™, and Mini Iso-Brick™ power supplies.

OPERATION

1. Run an instrument cable from your guitar to the CBM535AR’s INSTRUMENT jack and another instrument cable from the CBM535AR’s AMPLIFIER jack into your amplifier’s input.

2. This pedal is bypassed (off) while your foot is off the rocker. To engage the wah effect, simply press the toe of the pedal down with your foot.

3. Use the RANGE SELECTOR switch to select one of four frequency ranges. See RANGE SELECTOR diagram.

4. Rotate the Q knob clockwise for a narrower bandpass to emphasize higher end harmonics or counterclockwise for a wider bandpass that emphasizes lower end harmonics.

5. To increase the CBM535AR’s output, engage the BOOST switch and rotate the VOLUME knob clockwise to increase the amount of gain, up to 16dB, or counterclockwise to decrease it.

6. To increase effect ring-out time, remove bottom plate and rotate AUTO-RETURN DELAY pot counterclockwise (set to 12 o’clock by default). To decrease effect ring out time, rotate the control clockwise. AUTO-RETURN DELAY POT (INTERNAL)

7. Rock your foot back and forth on the pedal to hear the vocal, expressive tones that the Cry Baby Wah is famous for.
