Every chance we get, we at Waltons promote the value and benefits of music education and especially the value of one-to-one tuition. We do this as we believe that Music is not only the backing track to our life but an essential part of life itself and who we are.

Waltons New School of Music.

Primary and Post Primary Music Teaching.

To help Both Primary and Post primary teachers to motivate their pupils, Waltons, in association with the National Concert Hall and Lyric FM run a competition with prizes for both sections, of a performance final for Twelve entrants, six from each, in the National Concert Hall and also a substantial instrument prize for the winners. (See below)

Private Music Teachers

Throughout the length and breadth if Ireland we know that both institutional Music Schools and Private Music Teachers are enriching the musical culture of Ireland from our wonderful Traditional Music to Popular and Classical genres. While some Government and private fundings such as Music Generation have helped in allowing students to rent musical instruments from “Music Libraries”, it is still not always easy for parents and older students to afford instruments. We know that a life in Music has many rewards, but it also can have its hard times “in between gigs”. Between Waltons Music Shops, Waltons Music Schools and Waltons publishing and Manufacturing, down through the years we have employed many musicians and teachers, both part time and full time.
