FAQs

You should receive your goods within 2-7 working days if you are located within the Republic of Ireland, two to three weeks if you are in the European Community, and for all other countries delivery times vary, and in some cases delivery is not possible at all. In such a case you will be immediately notified by e-mail and a full refund will be issued to your credit card. Delivery must be to the address at which your payment card is registered. All deliveries must be signed for. Please make sure you keep the receipt enclosed with your goods. Delivery to PO boxes is not possible.

We make every effort to keep our delivery charges as low as possible. Our charge depends on the volume / weight of goods you select at the time of placing the order. You only pay one delivery charge, irrespective of the number of products ordered.

If there is no one to receive your parcel, a card will be posted through your door advising of a delivery attempt. There will be a contact telephone number on there for your local depot. If you telephone the number on the card you will be able to re-book a delivery day, or arrange to pick the parcel up from the depot. If no card is left for you by the driver, please email info@waltonsmusic.ie or phone 018207425 and we will contact the courier for you.

When purchasing goods or services from this website your contract is with Waltons Music Ltd. All goods and services are sold in accordance with The European Directive on Distance Selling (Directive 97/7/EC). This directive essentially ensures that the consumer is given clear information about the goods and services the supplier is offering, is provided with an order confirmation via email and has a “cooling off” period of 14 working days after the day of delivery – during which time the consumer may cancel the contract by notifying the supplier of their request to cancel either in writing or by email. To cancel this contract or report a fault, please notify us in writing or by email. A telephone call is not sufficient unless both you and Waltons Music Ltd agree otherwise. This law also assumes that the consumer has a duty of care for the products during the cancellation period and while the goods are in their possession. Goods must be returned and re-packed in the original packaging as received complete ‘AS SOLD’ and in ‘AS NEW’ condition (if the packaging has been opened to examine the product/s it must have been done so without damaging the packaging or the product/s in any way). Please Note: Waltons Music Ltd has the right to terminate the contract in the event that the goods are unavailable, mispriced or cleared funds are not received.

Please note that cancellation of contracts for the purchase of copyrighted goods (all software, media and sample CDs) cannot be accepted where the item has been unsealed. Goods ordered specifically to meet a consumers requirements plus contact products such as Microphones/Brass/Woodwind/in-ear systems and strings are non-returnable and excluded from the “cooling off” period/return option.

The consumer will be responsible for the cost of and return arrangements of any goods to us, under the “14-day cooling off period”. Waltons Music Ltd strongly recommend that if returning goods that customers use an insured courier service, as Waltons Music Ltd will not be responsible for the goods until they have been checked and signed for. Waltons Music Ltd will pay and arrange a collection from you if you report a product fault during the initial 14 day period and the goods prove to be faulty. Similarly, in the case of returns/complaints that can be attributed to an error by Waltons Music Ltd, Waltons Music Ltd will cover the cost of collecting goods during the “14-day period”. Please inform us (in writing with the returning product/s) of the reason for which the goods are no longer required or wanted.

All Waltons Music Ltd products are covered by a standard one year warranty. If a fault should occur with your product after the first 14 days of receipt, you may wish to return the product, with a copy of your online receipt and a full written description of the fault to our returns department. Our returns department can send your faulty products to the manufacturer or authorised service centre on your behalf. Goods being returned must be shipped at the expense of the customer and by-own means.If the product is found to be faulty and is within the warranty period we will repair it free of charge and return the products to you.

The company will not accept any returns without a valid returns authorisation.To obtain a return authorisation please email info@waltonsmusic.ie.The company reserves the right to make a re-stocking charge in the case of goods incorrectly purchased.

It certainly is, all orders are taken over a secure server based in Dublin Ireland. We use 128 bit encryption so your information is 100% safe. You credit card information is sent to REALEX for processing and we do not store your credit card information.

We recommend you use the latest version of Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome to view the site. Cookies and JavaScript should be enabled. Sometimes our news requires Macromedia Flash.

It is pretty easy. You just add the items you want to your shopping cart, when you go to checkout we will ask you to setup an account if you don’t already have one. This is done in one step and then you can pay for your items using our secure server. Next time you come along you can log in and the checkout procedure will be even easier. Once your order is placed you can view the status by logging into your account.

Orders are subject to availability and the stock listing of a product on our web site does not guarantee stock availability for your order. We do however, try to represent accurate stock availability information on our site at all times.

You will receive an email advising you of its despatch and the delivery details. Your order status will change to ‘Shipped’ when one or more of your ordered items has been dispatched from our warehouse.

Can I track my order? We advise all customers to Log-in to our site and view their order status records. Your order status will change from ‘pending’ to ‘processing when item/s are picked from our warehouses to dispatch. The status will change once more, to ‘shipped’, when one or more of your ordered items has been dispatched from our warehouse. Items shipped together will have the same-tracking number.

Waste from electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)

Waste from electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) has been identified as a priority waste stream by the European Commission due to its potentially hazardous nature, the consumption of resources used during the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment and the expected WEEE growth rates. Prior to the introduction of the WEEE Regulations 2005 much of the electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in Ireland was disposed of in the municipal waste stream directly to landfill. This is not an ideal solution as WEEE can contain harmful substances that could cause problems to human health and the environment if not treated properly on disposal. In addition production of EEE involves non renewable energy and raw material resources which cannot be recovered if WEEE is disposed of indiscriminately. The WEEE Directive aims to reduce quantities of WEEE disposed of to landfill and reduce the harmful effects caused by WEEE on health and the environment whilst conserving natural resources.

Waltons offers to collect your electrical or electronic end-of-life products for free. In order to arrange for a free take-back, please contact our Customer Service by e-mail.

Conditions for collecting and returning end-of-life goods

  • The system is based on “1 product collected for the purchase of 1 product”.
  • Products must be from a similar category or have the same function. For example, if you purchase an amplifier, we will take your old amplifier back and ensure free recycling in an ecological manner. If you purchase a guitar, we will not take back your old amplifier.
  • There is no time limit on take back – proof of purchase required if take back occurs after the time of purchase.
  • You will be notified 24 hours before the collection. Please ensure that the old product has been cleaned and disconnected from any utilities and is ready for immediate collection. (If the product is not prepared for collection the customer can still return it at any time in store.)
  • Waste batteries including rechargeable batteries are taken back free of charge. You are not obliged to make any purchase when returning old batteries.
  • WEEE is taken back by Waltons.ie and in store on a one for one, like for like basis free of charge provided they are of an equivalent type sold by Waltons Music.
  • All WEEE and waste batteries must be recycled and should not be placed in any of your household wheelie bins.

Local authorities accept household WEEE free of charge at its civic amenity site from members of the public. For more information about removal services or areas where products can be brought to in their local area, please contact your local authority.
